When I think how your Carers were constantly cleaning up after my Mothers very elderly cat without complaint, for months on end - what more can I say?

People wanting to be a Carer

We always welcome interest from talented people who want to join our Carer Team. Our Carers are confident, articulate, perceptive and able to make sensible decisions.

Selection Process
Once we have heard from you, we will work through the steps involved in the selection process.  Applicants are carefully selected by management. Referee and conviction checks apply to all.
Elder Family Matters’ Carers are selected for their skill, wisdom and trustworthiness. They join our wonderful team of dedicated Carers. They are offered assignments, as they come up, that suit the Carer's personality, skill profile, and availability.
All going well, we will invite you to join our Carer team. We ask that you attend orientation training before beginning work with Clients. We value our carers and continue to support you with regular workshops on relevant topics.

Business Considerations
Independent Contractor - Elder Family Matters engages Carers as independent contractors, not as employees. Carers are free to accept or decline the offer of assignments. Carers do not receive a wage, but are paid on their invoice for the hours they have worked each fortnight.

Tax - As Carers are self-employed, they are responsible for paying their own tax. They complete an IR3 Income Tax return each year.
