I guess my life experiences, which have been pretty tough from infancy, have put me in good stead of being tolerant and understanding toward people.
Elaine - Carer

The quality of our Carers distinguish EFM from other care agencies

Our Carers share the values of the business, in particular, a deep respect for the elderly. EFM guarantees that the Carers who go into Clients’ homes are a good personality fit with the Client, share some of their interests, have the appropriate skills that are needed and are totally trustworthy.

Applicants are selected by management using a careful selection process. Referee and convictions checks apply to all carers. Once an applicant accepts an invitation to join the Carer Team at Elder Family Matters Ltd (EFM), they are offered assignments with Clients that match their skill level, personality and interests because the match with a Client is critical. Please visit Engaging Us for details on this process.

How it works

Once Carers start with a Client, they continue for the duration of the assignment, enabling trust and understanding to develop.
•We continue to monitor the Client-Carer relationship.
•We invite you to voice any questions or concerns, eg before a doctor’s visit
•We proactively consult with our Client’s loved ones if needs arise, eg after a visit to a doctor or specialist.
Sometimes the needs of a client change. For example, there may be need for a more specialised level of care.

No strangers at the door

We promise that an EFM Manager or a current Carer who already knows the Client will be on hand to make an introduction between the Client and the new Carer to ensure a satisfying transition.

We invite you to look at the Be a Carer page for further information.
